Swamp Thing #39 (2015)

Swamp Thing #39 continues Charles Soule’s acclaimed run on DC Comics’ New 52 series, bringing Alec Holland closer to the conclusion of the “Machine Queen” storyline. Featuring artwork and a cover by Jesús Saiz, this issue combines supernatural horror, environmental themes, and a desperate struggle for the future of the Green.

The Swamp has fallen, and machines now dominate the planet. With Alec Holland’s greatest enemies closing in and his remaining allies forced into hiding, the situation seems hopeless.
