Squadron Sinister #1 S.H.I.E.L.D Variant Cover (2015)

Squadron Sinister #1 features the Marvel's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. variant cover illustrated by Annie Wu. Released during Marvel's Secret Wars event, this special edition accompanies the debut of a darker take on the Squadron, a team of powerful heroes who rule their corner of Battleworld through fear and force. Written by Marc Guggenheim with interior artwork by Carlos Pacheco, the issue offers a different perspective on Marvel's familiar superhero archetypes.

In this alternate Battleworld domain, Hyperion and his ruthless allies expand their territory while maintaining control over the people under their rule. When Iron Thor, an emissary of Doom, is murdered, the Squadron must uncover the culprit before they become targets themselves. Their search for answers threatens to expose cracks within their own operation.
